June 1st-June 4th, from 10h00 to 19h00

WHAT: From June 1 to 4, everyone is invited to play at the Children’s Party, which is once again held in the Gardens of the Crystal Palace.

The program has dozens of free activities. Build 24 worlds in 24 hours, make a thousand tsurus for peace in the world, discover nature, our traditions and our history, learn how to cook healthy, listen to music that teaches about the planet or even explore the figures with experts in juggling are some of the many games that promise to transform the Gardens of the Crystal Palace into a great celebration.

The 2017 edition of the event also includes a set of must-see concerts. The Acústico Conústica do jardins will be transformed into the Mini NOS stage and will host shows programmed by the NOS Primavera Sound festival (see below for more details)

This year, the party will even have a full day dedicated to the best experts in play: the grandparents! The wisest of the population are thus invited to spend all day June 2 (Friday) playing.

Get the whole family together and come and play!

2.- NOS PRIMAVERA SOUND FOR KIDS (click here for more details): Mão Verde (Capicua and Pedro Geraldes)

nosprimaevrasoundWHAT: Starting on International Children’s Day, June 1stMão Verde (Capicua and Pedro Geraldes), Mão Verde is, other than a book and a way to promote awareness and intervention, a themed concert, around plants, agriculture, nutrition, the smells of herbs, the colour of flowers, and it has a clear ecological motivation. For about one hour, with many moments of interaction with the audience, there are happy songs with important messages. The approach is as intelligent as it is fun, and involves several daily topics from the green universe which surrounds us, with rhymes, stories, rap and word games, over colourful beats accompanied by several instruments played live. Capícua and Pedro Geraldes will be accompanied by Francisca Cortesão ( Minta & the Brook Trout) and António Serginho (Retimbrar)

WHERE: in the gardens of the Palácio de Cristal, on the Mini NOS Stage.

6.- NOS PRIMAVERA SOUND FOR KIDS(click here for more details): Beatle Battle – 50 years of Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band

WHAT: Not aiming for the integral reproduction of the Beatles’ songs, and making its starting point the Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band album, the band in a direct confrontation deconstructs the most famous tracks by the world’s most iconic band, bringing the audience onto the scene, in a dynamic and fun show. Between the bass, guitar, drums, keyboards and voices, the audience is casually involved in the narrative, integrating heterogeneous, melodic and rhythmic sound environments, very characteristic of the band, thus entering a mysterious journey and a musical battle of sounds and sensations. The spectator also becomes a musician, without realising it, singing simple melodies, making beats and playing instruments, turning the show into a workshop and therefore, a workshow. The world of the fantastical is open and ready to be discovered.
